It’s three weeks since Sportpesa ran their weekly jackpots. This week, the midweek and mega jackpots are not available because Sportpesa paybill number is closed.
The mega jackpot currently stands at Ksh239 million while the midweek amount is Ksh 37 million. We expect that when Sportpesa resumes, all the jackpots will be available.
News from Sportpesa indicates that the company may resume before September 2019.We are reliably informed that the government and Sportpesa management have agreed on ways to pay taxes and how they will work in future without affecting gamblers.
There is one case which Sportpesa sought compensation from the government but the case might be thrown out following the agreement between the two parties.
